What is an appropriate response to someone saying "merci" in French?

We say “Pas de problème” (No problem) in casual responses.

We say "De rien" (It’s nothing) in casual responses.

We say “Il n’y a pas de quoi" (Don’t mention it) in casual responses.

Thinking from a spiritual perspective, can we say that the journey in recovering from narcissistic abuse a battle of spiritual warfare? Any thoughts on this?

When someone says “merci” we says

We say “Je vous en prie" (You’re welcome) in formal responses

We say "Avec plaisir" (With pleasure) in formal responses

Is it okay if I am not interested to talk to any of my relatives as I saw the real faces in my brother's marriage as none of them helped us rather were a kind of disappointment and were talking bad?
